Male Servant

I had this doll lying around for a long time because I didn't think much of my face painting. He looked like a very bad drag queen. I eventually decided I had to do something with him to get my stuff tidied up. Once I gave him some hair and he had a collar, he looked very different. However, the photo doesn't do him any favours. He is actually nicer in the 'flesh'.
I had a terrible time trying to find plain black cotton for jackets. I did buy a piece from a really good quilting shop but it didn't stick together. The consensus was that this fabric had some sort of finish on it. It wasn't much use. I have now managed to buy some decent cotton which Maria ( Maria's Fabrics) also found she had great difficulty sourcing. The jacket on this chap is a piece of black curtain lining I was given to try.
Since he was less than perfect, I decided to try out some little gem stones for silver buttons.

Arlette

I forgot all about this doll I made almost a year ago. It is one of Dana Burton's dolls made in her class.

New Tabs

I am having a bit of a sort out with the pages. The 'Paperclay' Tab has been changed to 'Constructions'. This is for the simple reason that I have things that don't involve paper clay.

There would be just too many tabs if I keep adding pages that way.

I am also making a new page for the latest model. It is called 'Surgeons Hall' or as I call it, 'the cutting room'. It is a rather macabre subject but it will be funny - I hope! I will add a story of how it came about.
